Grease Nipple & Central Lubrication Line: Don't Starve the Breaker
A hydraulic breaker's biggest enemy is friction. If there is metal-to-metal contact between the tool and bushings, parts will melt (seize) within seconds. The only way to prevent this is regular and correct lubrication.
1. Grease Nipple Maintenance
Grease nipples are small but vital parts on the breaker. If the nipple is clogged or broken (the ball inside is stuck), you might think you are pumping grease, but it's not getting inside.
Tip: Check grease nipples every morning. Immediately replace broken or clogged ones.
2. Automatic Lubrication (Auto Lube)
The most definite solution to prevent operator forgetfulness is installing an Auto Lubrication Station. This system pumps grease to the tool at regular intervals (vibration or electric activated) as long as the breaker is working.
3. Compatible Brands
