Montabert BRH625 Hydraulic Breaker Tie Rod
The Montabert BRH625 tie rod is the pre-tensioned rod that clamps the breaker's back head, cylinder and front head together. It is manufactured as an aftermarket replacement part for Montabert BRH625 hydraulic breakers. It replaces OEM part number 86334448. It is made from high-tensile alloy steel with precision threading and controlled heat treatment. For Montabert breakers this part is also listed as "side rod".
Nut and washer are not included. Whether nuts and washers are used depends on the breaker brand and model. If your model uses them, you can order them separately from our sales team.

Important: design differences by model and production year
Tie rod length, diameter and thread design vary by brand and model. The same model may have used different tie rods in different production years or in different housing types such as silenced (box type) or tunnel versions.
If you send the technical drawing of your part to sales@hkm.com.tr, we can manufacture it to your drawing.
WHAT IS A TIE ROD ASSY?
A tie rod assy is a set that includes, in addition to the rod itself, the fasteners that secure it to the breaker body. Depending on the breaker design, an assy may include:
- Tie rod
- Nut (usually a hex nut; upper and lower nuts on some models)
- Washer or lock washer
- On some models a lock plate, bushing or rubber damping ring
The product on this page is not a tie rod assy; it is the tie rod only.
If you need the complete assy, email our sales team at sales@hkm.com.tr and we will prepare the right set for your breaker.
MANUFACTURING AND MATERIAL
- Made from a single bar of high-tensile, fatigue-resistant alloy steel; no welds or joints
- Machined on a CNC lathe from the bar's full diameter; the thinner shank sections are produced by removing material
- The reduced shank stretches in a controlled way under tightening torque, which keeps the preload and reduces thread fatigue
- Precision threading and controlled heat treatment
- Calibrated length and thread tolerance for correct preload
- Produced with tensile strength, thread quality and length tolerance checks
WHAT DOES A TIE ROD DO?
A hydraulic breaker body is built from separate sections: the back head, cylinder and front head. Tie rods clamp these sections together under preload so the body works as a single piece under impact. A loose or broken tie rod can damage the mating surfaces and the body.
Other names used for this part include through bolt, side rod, tensioning bolt, tie bolt and long bolt.
INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE NOTES
- Tighten the tie rods to the torque value and sequence given in your breaker's manual.
- Check tie rod torque periodically. Loosening is the early warning sign of tie rod failure. The most common cause of loosening is blank firing.
- If one tie rod has broken, replacing only that rod is not enough: the others have carried the same load and are fatigued. The full set is usually replaced and the mating surfaces are checked.

WHAT IS INCLUDED?
Tie rod only; nut, washer and bushing are not included.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is the OEM part number of this part?
A: OEM part number: 86334448. You can compare it with the number in your breaker's parts catalog or on the removed part. If your number is different, contact us and we will check for an equivalent.
Q: Does this tie rod fit my Montabert BRH625 breaker?
A: It is manufactured for the Montabert BRH625. The same model may have been built with different designs in different production years or housing types, so please compare the diameter and length with your existing tie rod and check the OEM part number (86334448) against your breaker's parts catalog before ordering.
Q: Are the nut and washer included?
A: No, this product is the tie rod only. Whether nuts and washers are used depends on the breaker brand and model. If your model uses them, you can order them or the complete assy from sales@hkm.com.tr.
Q: Is a tie rod the same as a side bolt?
A: Not always. A tie rod clamps the breaker's back head, cylinder and front head together. On Soosan, Furukawa and Daemo breakers, the side bolt is a separate bolt that fixes the power cell to the outer bracket. Some manufacturers and sellers also use the term "side bolt" for the tie rod, so confirm with the part number or dimensions when ordering.
Q: What other names are used for the tie rod?
A: Other names used for this part include through bolt, side rod, tensioning bolt, tie bolt and long bolt. For Montabert breakers this part is also listed as "side rod".
Q: What if the part in my breaker does not match these dimensions?
A: Send the dimensions or the technical drawing of your current part to sales@hkm.com.tr. We will identify the right part with you and, if needed, manufacture it to your drawing.
Q: Is shipping included in the price?
A: No, shipping is not included in our prices. Please contact our sales team for the best delivery option to your location.
Not sure which tie rod fits?
