A: The Epiroc EC155T chisel tool is made for the Epiroc EC155T hydraulic breaker: diameter 155 mm, overall length 1310 mm, weight 192 kg. Just state your breaker brand and model when you order.

A: Not always. The position and shape of the retaining pin slot change with brand and model; a tool with the same diameter and length may not fit. This tool is made to the slot dimensions of the Epiroc EC155T.

A: The Epiroc EC155T chisel tool is mainly used for: primary demolition, secondary demolition, trenching, recycling, scaling, primary breaking, boom mounted applications. According to the material table in our manual, it is recommended for reinforced concrete slabs, walls, columns and foundations, heavily fractured rock, asphalt and frozen ground.

A: The standard tool is for general demolition and construction. On the dust grooved tool the grooves guide dust away from the breaking zone and reduce wear and heat. The hard rock tool is made from a high-nickel alloy with a special hardening process, for quarrying and mining.

A: Like all HKM breaker tools, the Epiroc EC155T chisel tool is warranted against manufacturing defects only. The fracture surface is examined; if the fracture started from a flaw inside the material, the tool is covered. Breakage from prying, blank firing, rotating the embedded tool or working with worn bushings is not covered.

A: Prying before the tool is fully seated, blank firing, striking one spot for too long, insufficient or wrong grease, and working with worn bushings. On a chisel, twisting also wears the retaining pin slots.

A: Compare the inner diameters of the lower and upper bushings and the thrust bushing surface with the tolerances in your breaker's service manual. Worn bushings move the tool and piston off axis. The Epiroc EC155T bushings are listed in the Spare Parts section on this page.
